At New Day Community Church, one of our foundational values is “Extending God’s Kingdom”. This effort starts right here in our own backyard. Guided by Isaiah 61:1, we’re passionate about sharing the light of Christ with those in our community. Our vision is to partner with the Holy Spirit to bring the hope of the Gospel and the comfort of Jesus to those who need it most, walking out Matthew 5:16 in our everyday lives.
We believe the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20) doesn’t just apply to distant nations—it applies to our neighborhoods, our workplaces, our schools, and every place we go. Whether it’s a job, a grocery store, or a salon, we see it all as a mission field, and we step into those spaces expecting to bring prophetic insight, healing, and miracles in partnership with the Holy Spirit.
Our local missions group, New Day Outreach, is dedicated to serving the Summerville area through practical support and compassionate ministry. We work alongside nonprofits like Hearts for Summerville and Expanding the Table Food Truck, and we’re honored to join with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Department in their “Extending Branches” initiative. We regularly minister to the elderly in retirement homes, and we offer comfort and encouragement to teens in a local juvenile detention center.
As a church, New Day has gathered items for disaster relief in North Carolina. Additionally, our people have taken multiple trips to help with recovery efforts. We also donate financially and practically to provide comfort to those receiving treatment at Hollings Cancer Center and the Impact City Football Club outreach. New Day also champions street evangelism, in which we participate in the “Third Thursday” events in Downtown Summerville. We are seeking out the lost and offering prayer and healing to those who the Holy Spirit highlights.
